Targeting and Grassroots Outreach

No matter how organized, disciplined and financed a campaign becomes, at the end of the day success or failure rests on finding the right supporters.  We assist you in finding those key folks on a street-by-street basis so your targeting efforts are cost-effective and successful.

New Strategies Group knows the strategic development process starts with an understanding of how many supporters are needed, a historical gauge of where like-minded supporters can be found and an operational understanding of how you can find them based on supporting data.  Working with one of our many database list partners, we help you identify these potential supporters.  Only then can you to begin to develop the tactical measures to help you attract, assemble and activate your desired core base.

This disciplined approach has been successfully implemented by NSG on every occasion; it's a mixture of our experience in disciplined strategies and our innovative tactics that leads to success in the always-important political ground game.

At NSG we know every expenditure or investment of resources must be geared toward finding your core support and ultimately getting them to the polls.  We build your grassroots network by aggressively integrating direct mail, online tools, paid and earned media and various canvassing mechanisms.

But it's only after you begin attracting your supporters that the hard work begins.  It is essential to keep your supporters constantly energized, ready to act on your behalf and ultimately get them — and their friends — to the polls.  Doing so requires a balance between giving them just enough contact and action opportunities and not inundating them with so much information that they lose interest.

With NSG as a partner you gain the benefit of experience and the innovative approach that builds a network of supporters to carry you to victory.

Did You Know?

In the early stages of the 1984 general election major polls showed Ronald Reagan's re-election bid down double-digit points.  With Ed Rollins as Reagan's National Campaign Director the campaign recovered to win one of the most amazing election victories in American history, turning that 18-point deficit into an 18 percent advantage in the popular vote.  On Election Day the campaign won 49 out of 50 states and the highest number of electoral votes ever in the Electoral College.
