David C. Polyansky

David Polyansky, President of New Strategies Group, is a strategist, tactician, manager and attorney with professional experience in the political, legal, non-profit and marketing/advertising sectors.

Throughout his political career he has developed a reputation as a forward-thinking, strategic counselor in such positions as Chief Operating Officer and senior policy and political adviser on former Governor Mike Huckabee’s Republican presidential primary bid. In addition, Polyansky directed the campaign’s State of Texas primary effort where Governor Huckabee carried an unexpected 38 percent of the vote.
Prior to his role with the Huckabee campaign Polyansky served as Chief Operating Officer for Americans for Fair Taxation, a national non-profit organization advocating a tax reform proposal known as the FairTax. During his time with the organization he crafted and implemented a successful national political, fundraising and grassroots growth plan. The 2008 FairTax campaign was highlighted in National Review as "the biggest success story of the 2008 Republican primary season."
Polyansky is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and in 2004 took a one-year sabbatical from his legal career to join the 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines for duty in Al Anbar, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
Polyansky currently resides in New York City with his wife, Kirsten, newborn son Cooper, and 90 lb. labrador, Toro.

In the early stages of the 1984 general election major polls showed Ronald Reagan's re-election bid down double-digit points.  With Ed Rollins as Reagan's National Campaign Director the campaign recovered to win one of the most amazing election victories in American history, turning that 18-point deficit into an 18 percent advantage in the popular vote.  On Election Day the campaign won 49 out of 50 states and the highest number of electoral votes ever in the Electoral College.
