David Polyansky, President of New Strategies Group, is a strategist, manager and attorney with professional experience in the political, legal, non-profit and marketing/advertising sectors.
Throughout his political career he has developed a reputation as a forward-thinking, strategic counselor in such positions as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Policy/Political Adviser on former Governor Mike Huckabee’s 2008 Republican presidential primary bid.
Prior to his time on the Huckabee 2008 effort, Polyansky served as Chief Operating Officer for Americans for Fair Taxation, a national non-profit organization advocating a tax reform proposal known as the “FairTax”. During his time with the organization he crafted and implemented a successful national political, fundraising and grassroots growth plan. The 2008 FairTax campaign was highlighted in National Review as "the biggest success story of the 2008 Republican primary season."
He has also led ballot initiatives, guided a host of political races from municipal level to bids for the U.S. House and Senate, managed independent expenditure efforts, and developed political programs for non-profit entities and political personalities. During the critical 2010 election cycle, Polyansky designed and executed the extremely successful 2010 "Take Back New York Victory Program" for the Republican Party of New York State. This program helped New York Republicans recapture their state senate majority and gain more congressional seats for the new House Republican majority than any other state in the nation.
In 2011, Polyansky served as Chief Executive Officer and Deputy Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Michele Bachmann’s Republican presidential primary effort until early September, leading her to the top of the national polls and directing her historic Iowa Straw Poll victory.
He is currently working with numerous candidates and causes in Texas and across the country.
Polyansky is a six-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and in 2004 he took a sabbatical from his legal career to join Texas’ 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines for duty in Al Anbar, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II.
David Polyansky currently resides in Houston, Texas with his wife, Kirsten, young children, Cooper and Eloise, and energetic 80 pound Labrador Retriever, Toro.
